PROFESSOR GEORGE SAITOTI 1945-2012

Professor George Saitoti has been at the centre of Kenyan politics and public life since becoming a Member of Parliament and Minister of Finance in 1983. He went on to become Kenya’s longest-serving Vice-President and since 2008 had been Minister of State in the Office of the President in charge of Internal Security and Provincial Administration. Professor Saitoti was killed in a helicopter crash in the Ngong Forest yesterday, Sunday 10 June. See media coverage below.
