The poll seems to show that Kenyans have a gloomy view of the prospects for the coming year. Overall, 45.5 per cent of those questioned thought that things would get worse in the 12 months to come. At the end of 2013, looking forward to 2014, that figure was 37 per cent.

Interviewees were asked “Do you think the year 2015 will be better, worse or the same as 2014?” with regards to six economics and governance issues – corruption, cost of living, political climate, employment opportunities, economic conditions and security.
