UHURU TO HOST BILLIONAIRES BILL GATES, DAVID ROCKEFELLER AND STRIVE MASIYIWA

State House Spokesman Manoah Esipisu has announced that billionaires Bill Gates, David Rockefeller and Strive Masiyiwa will be in the country later this week.

According to Esipisu, The three will be in Nairobi for a major Agriculture forum that will be hosted by President Uhuru Kenyatta.Nigerian head of state Olusegun Obasanjo is also expected to grace the event.

101 year old David Rockefeller is a former American banker who served as chairman and chief executive of Chase Manhattan Corporation and the world’s oldest billionaire according for Forbes.  Strive Masiyiwa is a London-based Zimbabwean businessman, entrepreneur, and philanthropist and founder of  the founder and executive chairman of diversified international telecommunications group Econet Wireless,  a global telecommunications group based in South Africa with operations in 18 countries. Bill Gates on the other hand is a renowned American business magnate, entrepreneur, philanthropist and c0-founder of Microsoft.

2016,A YEAR OF FIRSTS FOR KENYA

2016 has been a year of firsts for Kenya in terms of hosting prominent personalities and conferences.

In July, the Fourteenth session of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD 14) was held in Kenya for the first time. Kenya also became the first country to host the Sixth Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD-VI) on 27th -28th August, 2016.

In July, Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu also made a historic visit to Kenya, when he became the first ruling Israeli prime minister to visit Kenya and the first to visit sub-Saharan Africa in nearly three decades.

Last week on Friday, 2nd September , Facebook founder and according to Forbes also made his maiden trip to Nairobi, where he lauded Kenya’s innovation.

“Just landed in Nairobi! I’m here to meet with entrepreneurs and developers, and to learn about mobile money – where Kenya is the world leader,” Zuckerberg told his 78-million followers on Facebook.
