12 YEAR OLD KENYAN FOOTBALLER STUNS COACHES AT FRENCH CLUB

A 12-year-old Kenyan boy could soon be joining one of the world’s top football clubs, the Prestigious Youth Academy of Paris Saint-Germain (PSG).

Amani Nzomo, a year seven student at Brook House School, was among at least 60 young footballers, mostly from Europe, who attended a two-week trial at PSG and is said to have impressed the coaches.

According to an article published by the Daily Nation, Amani scored 192.6 points out of a possible 200, emerging the best in the camp and making it to the list of those being considered for admission.

Among Amani’s notable qualities as observed by the coaches at PSG was that he was a “Fast and tactical player on whom teammates can rely on”

Amani, who plays for the Ligi Ndogo football club, is now waiting for the final trials at the end of the year.

“PSG has been my dream team and I have always wanted to play for the club. I thank God that they have considered my potential. I hope I will succeed,” Amani is quoted by the Daily Nation.

His Ligi Ndogo clubmates Zein Mwakitawa and Benedict Mbalu also participated in the trials but didn’t cut the mark.

Amani could soon be joining the list of celebrated Kenyan players who are playing for international football clubs. the likes of Victor Wanyama, Divock Origi, Michael Olunga, Paul Were, Jamal Mohamed and Arnold Origi.
