KENYANS GIVE MICHAEL JOSEPH IDEAS ON HOW TO GET KILLED IN KENYA

former Safaricom CEO Michael Joseph says he wants to die in Kenya.

By Winnie Kabintie

Kenyans are famous for many things and the peculiar sense of humour we possess is Key among the attributes that just make us “Kenyans”.

In a country where we grapple with a myriad of social issues ranging from massive misappropriation of public funds; joblessness; ailing public healthcare and police brutality among others, this peculiar sense of humour goes a long way in keeping us sane as we always find something to joke about even in the most challenging situations.

It was therefore sadly hilarious when Kenyans on Twitter (KOT) under the hashtag #HelpMJDieInKenya decided to give former Safaricom CEO Michael Joseph ideas on how he can “easily die in Kenya”  after MJ  in an interview with  Vodafone’s Senior Global Communications Manager ,Paula Nasser said that he would like to die in Kenya, particularly at his house in Lewa Conservancy.

“When I do die, I’d like to die in Lewa, that’s definitely what I’d like to do. If anything happens to me, I’d go to Kenya; I’d go to my house in Lewa, and just stay there. It’s such a special place,” Michael Joseph said.

Below are some of the hilarious tweets made under the trending hashtag #HelpMJDieInKenya. Sadly, even though the tweets were made on a light note, they are all apparently inspired by real-life experiences that have affected and in the worst scenarios have claimed lives of fellow Kenyans. On each tweet highlighted below, I will include a link to a news story published in relation to the incident in context.
