‘HOW TO’ KISS AND PRAY MORE THAN ABORT

Google’s Zeitgeist report on the list of the most searched items on the web is out. Last year, ‘how to abort’ topped the list in the ‘How to’ category but this year, ‘how to kiss’ takes supremacy, followed by ‘how to pray’ and ‘how to abort’ on the list of items Kenyans consult the web for.

Generally, matters of love dominate the list of things Kenyans searched for in the ‘how to’ category, as ‘how to love’, seduce and romance dominate the top ten list. ‘What is love?’ was also top of the list of ‘What is?’ category.

HEALTH

On health matters, Kenyans want to learn more about ovulation which tops the list of the most searched items on health, followed by stress and nutrition. Viagra also appears fifth on this list.

WI-FI

When it comes to technology, Wi-Fi, which seems to have gained more popularity in the country this year especially with Safaricom’s introduction of Wi-Fi internet in public vehicles, tops the list of most searched items, followed by Linkedin, BBM and Mpesa respectively.

JICHO PEVU

Kenya’s leading investigative TV show Jicho Pevu, which airs on KTN topped the list of the most searched for TV show, followed by Telovenna Abyss of Passion and the Big Brother Africa.

RAILA WINS A POLL

Raila Odinga, Uhuru Kenyatta and Caroline Mutoko are top three on the list of most searched people on the web while the sensational blog Daily Post tops the list of the most searched queries followed by the IEBC and the Westgate attack.

KIDERO SLAP IN THE FACE FOR SHEBESH

The famous slap that Nairobi governor Evans Kidero landed on Women Representative Rachael Shebesh and musician Emmy Kosgei’s wedding to Nigerian preacher and tycoon Anselm Madubuko made it on the top 10 list of trending events 2013.
