UHURU KENYATTA REVEALS LOSING FRIENDS OVER DEMOLITIONS

President Uhuru Kenyatta revealed over the last few weeks he had lost a lot of friends over the recent demolitions with the “friends” asking him to intervene and stop it.

“..I said its difficult to stop not because we love to destroy but because we must fight impunity. Let us lose our friends and do what is right in the eyes of God. We shall gain other friends as we move forward. Let us create a society that respects and treasures hard work and integrity, a nation with a conscience,” he further said.

Corruption has perhaps been the greatest challenge that has characterized President Uhuru Kenyatta’s tenure and his latest speech has gotten the nation talking.

Below are the reactions from Kenyans on Uhuru’s speech on the war against corruption

Paullo#254‏ : Mr. President Uhuru Kenyatta, you have a rare opportunity to create a memorable legacy. The legacy will NOT be on the big 4 but on purging out CORRUPTION & IMPUNITY in Kenya. You have the rest of us behind you except politicians. ‘Sieke’ the opportunity sir.

Shadrack Cherutich: I like the way the new Uhuru is working. The Uhuru of first term was a disaster. A president should not beholden to a section of political leadership but to Kenyans who elected him. He is doing the people’s business and should be supported by all means. When corrupt cartels are eliminated and profits from corruption is wiped out, the nation will move on. Thanks, Mr President for the revolutionary change.

Chrisogonas O. Mc’Odhiambo: Today, Uhuru Kenyatta has spoken the way he should have done on day one in office; nevertheless, it is not too late to breathe fire and power, especially when we have seen the evidence of intention in the past 2 weeks. Fantastic job Mr. President, and keep fighting.

Tsomnyazi Wa Nganga: tough-talking President Uhuru Kenyatta. I told people here that in his second term, the corrupt, the cartels, drugs lords and those who were thriving on impunity were in for a rude shock! Ladies and gentlemen, listen to the President of the Republic of Kenya that the country has been longing for!

Sorine Martin: Uhuru Kenyatta, the king of Impunity says his government is doing demolitions because he wants to end Impunity. That’s the Best joke I’ve heard this year #Mediocre

President Kiratu Edward: Interesting times lay ahead.. With this renewed fight against corruption. It must be confronted head-on. We commend you on that President Uhuru Kenyatta.
