MANCHESTER UNITED’S MANAGER SACKED
David Moyes has officially been sacked today after serving only 10 months in Manchester united, putting to rest the speculations that having been trending in social media about his imminent sacking.
According to BBC, the Manchester United manager was dismissed at a meeting with the club’s executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward at the club’s Carrington training ground shortly after 0800 BST.
Former manager Sir Alex Ferguson who retired after 26 years chose Moyes as his successor and even though his early days in power looked promising with the club displaying a 2-0 victory over Wigan Athletic in the Community Shield at Wembley; followed by a spectacular 4-1 win away at Swansea City in the first league game of the season, the Red Devils performance under Moyes has been dwindling at an alarming rate.
For the first time since 1995, The Reds will miss out on Champions League football and they might as well miss out on the European competition altogether for the first time since 1990.
Under Moyes, Manchester united has lost six league games at home and even beaten in the FA Cup by Swansea at Old Trafford and even worse the red devils were subsequently knocked out of the Capital One Cup in the semi-finals by Sunderland.
Player-coach Ryan Giggs is expected to take charge of the Red Devils next game against Norwich on Saturday.
Before joining Manchester United, Moyes had left Everton after 11 seasons to sign a six-year deal with the Premier League champions.

KENYAN DIVOCK ORIGI OFF TO ‘TOP ENGLISH SIDE’?
Better news perhaps for Divock Origi who currently plays football for the French club Lille. Having shown great composure in front of goal this season, Origi looks as if he might be the first player of Kenyan descent to sign for a top English club.
According to media speculation, Origi has caught the eye of scouts at both Liverpool and Arsenal and might be playing with one of the big clubs by the time of the new season.
Divock Origi’s uncle is Austin Odour who formerly played for the Harambee Stars and captained Gor Mahia.
Origi is Kenyan-Belgian and has a Belgian passport but there is speculation that the up and coming football star might renounce his formal nationality and could end up playing for Kenya.
