Kenya and especially citizens from the lakeside are finding it difficult to come to terms with the loss of Lupita’s $150,000 pearl dresses, which she wore during The Oscars.

Lupita Nyong’o made an entrance on the ‪#‎Oscars red carpet in a custom Calvin Klein Collection pearl and ivory beaded dress designed by Women’s Creative Director Francisco Costa. She accessorized the dress with Chopard diamond drop earrings and three Chopard diamond rings.

The gown, which was embellished for 6,000 Akoya pearls, was allegedly stolen from her hotel room on Wednesday in London West Hollywood hotel.

Los Angeles County sheriff’s detectives are currently investigating the theft.

Following her Oscar win in 2014 for her role in Twelve Years a Slave; Lupita became A darling of Hollywood’s red carpets with commenter’s and fans praising her sense of fashion.
