Today’s second game between Spain and Netherlands is probably the most anticipated match in this season’s group stages as the best two teams in the 2010 tournament face off again.
The last time they met was in the finals of the last World Cup and the game went down in history books as the most physical World Cup final ever played. Fourteen cards in total were produced by English referee Howard Webb.
Tonight at 10pm (EST), the action and rivalry continues from where they stopped. The defending world champions, Spain will definitely be gearing to retain their title in style but the Dutch are in to spoil the party.
Players to look out for are Ramos, Xavi, Iniesta and Costa in the Spanish side while in the Dutch side eyes will be on Van Persie, Robben, Sneijder and DeJong.
AUSTRALIA VS CHILE
Australia plays Chile at midnight (EST). The two teams have met four times with Chile winning 3 times and drawing once. Australia are the underdogs in group B, being ranked 62, while Chile ranks 14.
