Corona virus, which is affecting 213 countries and territories around the world, has so far killed over 465,000 people globally and a total of 4.49M patients have recovered.
The World Health Organisation has warned that the spread of corona virus is accelerating as the global Covid-19 infections reach 9 million.
“It seems that almost every day we reach a new and grim record” said WHO Director General Dr Tedros Adhanom during a press briefing.

USA is leading on the highest number of COVID-19 cases ( 2.36M) as of Monday, followed by Brazil ( 1.11M), Russia (9592,00), India 440,000 and UK 305, 289.
Italy, which had in the last three months been a COVID-19 hotspot now has 238,720 cases, while in China, where the virus broke out the corona virus infections are 83,418.
In Africa, South Africa has the highest number of Covid-19 cases, 101, 590 and 1,9991 deaths, followed by Egypt (56,806).
Kenya has 4,797 Corona virus cases so far and has recorded 125 deaths so far.
The WHO Director General urged countries to be careful and creative in finding solutions to protect their people and economies.
