Professor George Magoha has been nominated as the new education Cabinet Secretary in the latest Cabinet reshuffle by President Uhuru Kenyatta.
If approved by parliament, Magoha will replace CS Amina Mohammed, who has been moved to the Sports Ministry, where the former CS, Rashid Echesa has been fired.
Kenyans have taken to social media to praise Magoha for the nomination, saying Uhuru made the right decision.
Professor Magoha is the Chairman of the Kenya National Examinations Council and the former vice chancellor of the University of Nairobi.
