The publication of four opinion polls this morning show the race for the presidency in Kenya is very close. The surveys by Ispos Synovate, Strategic Research, Infotrak and Consumer Insight suggest the gap in support between Raila Odinga/Musalia Mudavadi and Uhuru Kenyatta/William Ruto is at most two per cent of registered voters.

So the opinion polls suggest that no candidate will win the presidency outright on March 4 and that the decision will run to a second round of elections on April 10.
