The Ethics and Anti-corruption Commission (EACC) is investigating KFCB CEO Ezekiel Mutua over alleged irregular payments of salaries and allowances to him and a board member (Gathoni Kungu).
EACC has already written to KFCB requesting documents that include personal files of the two officials and all payment of salaries and allowances to the two officials that include payslips and payment vouchers.
“Our officers D.Mnjala and F.Abdi will be available to receive the documents and record a ststement,” EACC said in the letter.
Ezekiel Mutua Axed?
The KFCB boss has already been sent on “terminal leave” and Christopher Wambua has already been appointed as acting CEO of KFCB.
Ezekiel Mutua had earlier today refuted claims that he has been fired calling it “malicious information”.
“My attention has been drawn to reports on social media to the effect that I have been fired as CEO of KFCB. PLEASE IGNORE such malicious rumours. I am not aware of such developments and there can be no grain of truth in them as there’s no vacancy in the office of the CEO KFCB,” Mutua said in a tweet.
