German Man Charged In Kenya for Sexually Assaulting Minors

Thomas Sheller, a German citizen was on Tuesday charged in a Nairobi court for sexually assaulting minors.

Sheller,  is facing seven counts of sexually related offences, committed between March and May 2020 in Kisumu and Nairobi counties. These include sodomy, child trafficking, and child pornography.

It is alleged that between March and April at Nyalenda in Kisumu Central, he defiled a 13-year-old child, showed a pornographic video to three young boys and sodomized them, the youngest being 10.

Denied Bail

The prosecution told the court that Thomas Sheller was a flight risk, has no permanent residency and is also unlawfully in Kenya since he has no valid permit to be in the country according to the migration department.

Senior Principal Magistrate Muthoni Nzibe, ordered that the suspect be remanded at Kilimani Police Station to await a probation report on the victims.

Sheller denied all the seven counts saying he was being framed for the offences.

The case will be mentioned on June 19, when the probation report will be presented before court.
