MUHAMMAD ONYANGO®: Whenever i went for Friday prayers in Westlands, i would find Mzee Yusuf Haji in his usual corner of the mosque
reciting Qur’an and doing Adhkaar with a bodyguard on standby. He would come early and after prayers say a word or two with the Muslim faithfuls before leaving.
Dr. Alfred Mutua: Quite sad this morning to hear of the passing of Yusuf Haji. We have lost a remarkable leader & GOOD man. My pole to his family. We worked closely together for years & once had stones thrown at the two of us as we made our way to Jamia Mosque to quell a riot. Rest In Peace Mzee.
Wycliffe A. Oparanya: Senator Mohammed Yusuf Haji was a dedicated, committed, hands-on and focused public servant who served this country diligently in different capacities. He will be remembered for his contribution, wise counsel and steadfast leadership as chairman of the BBI taskforce team.
Ahmed Mohamed ((ASMALi)) : Your advice, counsel, guidance and leadership will be hugely missed. May jannah be your final abode mzee Yusuf Haji. Always had kind words. Always there when his priceless guidance was needed. Always humble. A huge loss for Kenya & for Northern Kenya in particular.
Dr. Eng. Karanja Kibicho: Senator Yusuf Haji‘s mentorship overflew beyond his family; many of us have lived looking up to him for inspiration that has been dripping from his principle. All we offer is our prayers to God to assuage the immeasurable pain the family is experiencing during this dark moment.
