The Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has recommended Justice Philomena Mbete Mwilu for the DCJ position and forwarded her name to the president.

“The JSC has after lengthy deliberations recommended Hon Lady Justice Philomena Mbete Mwilu for appointment as the Deputy Chief Justice and has submitted the name to His Excellency the President,” said Acting Judicial Service Commission Chair Margaret Kobia.

Justice Philomena Mwilu was admitted as an advocate of the High Court of Kenya in 1984 and appointed a judge of the High Court in 2007.
