It was a big night for Adele at the 59th Annual Grammy Awards as she scooped all the top honors .

Adele took home five awards notably; Album of the Year (25)Song of the YearRecord of the Year, Best Pop Solo Performance & Best Pop Vocal Album.

In a very emotional acceptance speech that moved the audience to tears, when she was announced winner of the album of the year award, Adele honored Beyoncé, who had been nominated alongside her for her lemonade album, saying the album Lemonade was so “monumental”

“The lemonade album is so monumental… so monumental, so well put out, so beautiful and soul bearing and we got so see another side of you that you don’t always let us see and we appreciate that. We f….adore you, you are our light!” Adele said.

Beyoncé, who received the most nominations this year, won two awards, including the Best Music Video for “Formation” and best urban contemporary album for “Lemonade” out of the nine categories she had been nominated.

Adele made Grammy’s history as the first artist to win Album of the Year, Record of the Year, & Song of the Year TWICE. She and Taylor Swift are the only female artists in HISTORY to win Album Of The Year award twice.
