A US woman who happens to be spokesperson for Republican Rep. Stephen Fincher was on the receiving end of the wrath of angry Americans over the weekend after she publicly scolded Sasha (13) and Malia (16) for not acting “classy”.

Elizabeth Lauten, who did not like the fact that the girls looked bored and made faces at the annual White House Turkey pardoning ceremony, took to Facebook to express her displeasure;

“Dear Sasha and Malia: I get you’re both in those awful teen years, but you’re a part of the First Family, try showing a little class. At least respect the part you play,” Lauten wrote on her Facebook page.

“Then again, your mother and father don’t respect their positions very much, or the nation for that matter,” Lauten wrote. “So I’m guessing you’re coming up a little short in the ‘good role model’ department.

Lauten also expressed her disaproval in the manner the girls were dressed; “Dress like you deserve respect, not a spot at the bar,”

The screen shots to her post, which majority considered insensitive, went viral on social media over the weekend, as Lauten got criticized heavily for her action.

real ssLauten would later on bow to the criticism, pull the post down and replace it with an apology.

“I wanted to take this opportunity and apologize for a post I made on Facebook earlier today judging Sasha and Malia at the annual white house turkey pardoning ceremony.

After many hours of prayer, talking to my parents, and re-reading my words online I can see more clearly just how hurtful my words were,” Lauten wrote. “I’d like to apologize to all of those who I have hurt and offended with my words, and I pledge to learn and grow (and I assure you I have) from this experience.”

Below are some of the messages shared on Facebook following Lauten’s criticism;

Pat Purcell: I continue to be amazed that any American feels it is appropriate to in any way malign the President of the United States or any of his family–no matter your political affiliation. I am a registered Republican and am embarrassed by this.

Katherine Cooper Humphrey: An adult that bullies children… I bet her parents are very proud!

Rebecca Rogers: How old are you lady? Why don’t you pick on someone your own size! If you have a problem with their parents be an adult and attack them instead of little kids. You make me sick!!!

Charlie Smith: Maybe she should take her own advice. Try to show a little class.

Lisbeth Carolina: “not a spot in the bar.” really? Clearly Ms. Lauten you’re not very respectful either. You’re cyber bullying teenage children. Maybe you should remember that next time you’re looking into a mirror.
