WOMENS MARATHON

Priscah Jeptoo gained the third medal for Kenya in the women’s marathon staged this morning in the London Olympics. Coming in second just 5s behind the winner Gelana of Ethiopia, Jeptoo wins silver in a time of 2hr 23min 12sec.

MENS 3000M STEEPLECHASE : KENYAS FIRST GOLD!

Meanwhile the men finally found form in the 3000m steeplechase winning gold (Kemboi) and bronze (Mutai). It looked like we were on for a 1-2-3 at 2500m but with less than a lap to go Kipruto tripped and fell, miraculously he recovered and still managed to finish a credible 5th.
