Citizen TV anchor Jackie Maribe will spend 11 more days in custody as police continue with the probe of the murder of Monica Kimani.
Maribe was arrested on Friday, days after her fiancé Joe Irungu alias “Jowie” was nabbed and presented as the main suspect in the murder of the 29-year-old Ms Kimani, who was murdered in her Kilimani apartment a week ago.
Detectives investigating the murder allegedly found some documents and a purse believed to belong to Ms Kimani, a bullet hole in Maribe’s bedroom wall, which had been creatively been concealed with wheat flour and a spent cartridge under her bed, which has given the indication that Jowie probably shot himself inside Maribe’s bedroom.
Jowie had told the police that he had been shot by some three men outside Maribe’s apartment.
The police also discovered the gun Joe Irungu used at Maribe’s neighbor, identified as Brian Kassaine.
Brian Kassaine, who has since then been arrested, is allegedly a mutual friend to Maribe and Irungu.
Maribe may face charges as an accessory in the gruesome murder of Monica Kimani.
