Pwani University students killed in road crash

At least 18 students and teachers from Pwani University are feared dead after their school bus collided with a matatu in Kayole, Naivasha, along the Nairobi-Nakuru highway on Thursday afternoon.

The students were on transit from Kilifi to Eldoret for college games.

The bus reportedly lost control after the vehicle’s breaks failed and subsequently hit a matatu.

Of the 18 dead at least nine are students who were traveling in the bus which had over 60 passengers on board. Seven of those who died were in the matatu.
