CORD leaders have urged the police to launch an investigation into the murder of businessman Jacob Juma, who was killed yesterday by unknown gunmen on his way home.
According to the police, the controversial Jacob Juma was killed at 10 p.m near Lenana School. His bullet riddled vehicle, had 10 bullet holes was found in a ditch.
“Boinnet must use Jacob Juma’s tweets as leads 2 unravel his death riddle,” said Kakamega senator Bonny Khalwale.
Nairobi police boss Japheth Koome confirmed that nothing was stolen from the businessman as all his possessions were intact, referring to the incident as murder.
“We don’t know the motive but this seems to be a pure murder. The body is at the City Mortuary,” said Koome.
Jacob Juma, who never shied away from controversy, had on numerous occasions said that his life was in danger as some government officials wanted to assassinate him.
In one of the tweets, he cites that one of the people keen on having him dead is deputy president William Ruto.
