The Kenya Forum has learned from a security advisor to a major commercial concern in Kenya of a heightened threat of a possible terrorist attack in Nairobi this weekend.

Whereas the US Embassy’s warning earlier in the week referred to ‘credible information regarding a possible attack on Nairobi hotels and prominent Kenyan government buildings’ the timing of which was unknown, the Forum has been told that the threat is now believed to be more specifically this weekend against large hotels in Nairobi, in which context the Norfolk Hotel and Sarova Stanley Hotel were mentioned.
